As Nick and I drove up James St. to meet potential clients for a kitchen renovation in 2013, we immediately noticed the vacant, partially demo-ed house next door. “Can you please fix up that house?” pleaded the owner. Um, OK! Tenacious efforts to contact the out-of-town owner finally paid off at the end of 2014 when we were able to purchase the house. We were even more excited than usual to restore this treasure because the neighborhood is so lovely and the house was an eyesore for years. The house was completed in early 2016.
