What an adorable house in East Durham.  Long-empty and ignored, it charmed us with remarkably untouched original details like the living room book shelves and kitchen built in. I loved the horizontal interior clapboard (it was Nick’s idea to remove the wall covering and expose it) and original wrought iron fireplace surrounds that are rarely found.  Most of the work involved uncovering and restoring these features. We were proud to be part of the dramatic positive change going on in this neighborhood.
